So I attended the midnight premiere of The Hobbit with my boyfriend and a few dear friends. We were able to see it in IMAX 3D which, oh my god, so WORTH IT. I didn't want it to end, I was totally consumed by the story telling and the Elf King rides on a Caraboose. (A caribou/Moose XD) and I stayed until the very end of the film and as I got up to leave, my boyfriend caught my attention. I turned around to see what he needed, and he was down on one knee. My initial reaction was, oh, he dropped something, ok, I can help him get it, then I noticed a box in his hand and he asked me to give him my hands.
And he started in on this speech about promises and dedication and honestly I missed most of it because my mind was REELING and all I could do was think "Don't forget to say 'YES'."
And when he finally said, "In place of a dark lord, will you be my Queen?" I just nodded and I'm pretty sure I said yes quite a few times and then the other people who were in the theater still cheered for us (I forgot the world existed for a minute outside of the two of us). I got down on Garion's level because I was trembling and I kissed him a whole bunch and just stayed half kneeling, half leaning on Garion in the aisle of the chairs for a minute while my world spun around me. I was so dizzy with happiness, I couldn't formulate words.
Then we finally decided to try and leave the theater, which took a bit of shuffling because my legs were like jelly and then more congratulations and hugging people and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect proposal or fiance.
I'm still shaking, I didn't sleep nearly enough this morning because I couldn't calm myself down long enough to stay asleep and I can't go five minutes without squealing about being engaged.
I truly deeply and unconditionally love Garion and I'm so excited for our future together and I need to share this with ever corner of the world because I can't stop smiling!
